Davis Medical Center has welcomed Dr. Sharmil Suma Kumaran, MD, to its medical staff, enhancing its nephrology services for the community. Dr. Kumaran specializes in diagnosing and treating kidney diseases and is now practicing on the first floor of the outpatient clinic at the medical center in Elkins.
A graduate of Government Medical College, University of Calicut in Kozhikode, India, Dr. Kumaran completed his residency in internal medicine at the Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He furthered his expertise with fellowship training in nephrology and hypertension at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York.
