MORGANTOWN, WV — Mon Health System – Vandalia Health North Board of Directors has announced a change in its membership.
Dr. Mark Johnson, a long-serving and beloved general surgeon at Mon Health Medical Center, will step down from the board effective immediately to meet the increasing demand for his surgical services.
Dr. Susan Capelle, a respected uro-gynecologist in Morgantown, has been appointed to the board for an initial three-year term starting July 1.
The current Mon Health System – Vandalia Health North Board of Directors includes:

According to the health system, the board’s makeup includes members from both Mon Health System and Davis Health System hospitals to ensure governance reflects the broader service area.
