Elkins High School recently unveiled a new athletic field scoreboard, thanks to the joint sponsorship of Davis Health System (DHS) and Citizens Bank of West Virginia. The dedication ceremony, held during the home opening football game, featured a special coin toss and brought together students, families and community members.
The scoreboard, prominently displayed at the athletic field, is a notable enhancement for the school’s sports programs. Mark Gilliam, DHS Chief Operating Officer, performed the ceremonial coin toss alongside Citizens Bank President and CEO Nathaniel S. Bonnell.
“We are thrilled to support Elkins High and its incredible athletic programs,” said Gilliam. “We believe in investing in our community, and this scoreboard is a great way to enhance the experience for athletes and fans alike.”
Bonnell added, “Citizens is pleased to provide a better game experience for our community by investing in the digital and video scoreboard. One of the many things our 100-year history has taught us is the importance of supporting, enhancing and building stronger communities, and we are especially proud to be a partner in this project.”
The collaboration between Citizens Bank and Davis Health System underscores their commitment to local schools, sports programs and community wellness initiatives.
