Glenville State University students advance to FBLA national conference

GLENVILLE, WV — Glenville State University students Charles Copeland III and Haylen Book have advanced to the 2024 Future Business Leaders of America-Collegiate National Conference after excelling at the State Leadership Conference.

Copeland, president of Glenville State University’s FBLA chapter, earned second place in the Entrepreneurship & Selling category. Vice President Haylen Book secured first place in Finance & Management, establishing themselves as top collegiate business students in West Virginia.

The national conference took place in Orlando, Florida, from June 24-27. During the event, Copeland and Book presented their projects to a larger audience, gaining leadership and career preparation experience. They also learned how to become successful, community-minded business leaders.

At the conclusion of the conference, Book placed ninth in the Management competition, earning national recognition for her efforts.
