The West Virginia Outdoor Heritage Conservation Fund has announced the availability of grants for land-protection projects, with a maximum total of $400,000 to be awarded. Applications must be submitted by Oct. 31.

Projects eligible for funding include wildlife habitats, working forests and farmlands, and recreational areas for activities like hunting and fishing. Large grants are defined as those exceeding $25,000, while $50,000 is set aside specifically for small grants.
