Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital recently recognized Kenton Linger, RN, as the recipient of the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. This prestigious award honors nurses who deliver exceptional care and compassion, and is part of the DAISY Foundation’s initiative to celebrate healthcare professionals.
The DAISY Award is presented biannually, with nominations coming from patients, families, and coworkers. Linger expressed his gratitude, stating, “I am deeply honored and humbled to receive the DAISY Award. Upon receiving this award, I was completely surprised. I did not feel like I did anything out of the ordinary, I just strived to provide the best possible care to my patients.”
Linger has been a Registered Nurse in the Acute Care Unit at Mon Health since September 2022. His dedication and selfless service to his patients earned him this recognition. The award ceremony took place at the hospital, attended by his colleagues and family.
“Kenton provides exceptional care to his patients and is respected by his peers,” said Christel Beam, RN, Director of ICU, Acute Care, and Telemetry at Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital. “We are proud and congratulate him on receiving this honor in recognition of his dedication to excellent patient care.”
