Scotty McCreery to perform at the Clarksburg Amphitheater

CLARKSBURG – City Parks of Clarksburg has just announced Scotty McCreery, is set to perform at the Clarksburg Amphitheater on Friday, August 30 2024 as part of the Park’s Summer Concert Series.

McCreery is currently rising up the country charts with his song “Cab in a Solo,” the first single from an upcoming album due later this year. He launched his recording career by making history in 2011 as both the first country artist and the youngest male artist of any genre to debut his first studio album, the Platinum-certified Clear as Day, at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. He is known for his five consecutive No. 1 hits (“Five More Minutes,” “This is It,” “In Between,” “You Time,” and “Damn Strait”) as well as audience favorites like “It Matters to Her” and “See You Tonight.”

McCreery will become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry later this Spring, an honor he has dreamed about since he was young. He was invited to join by his hero Garth Brooks last December and his induction will be announced soon. He was also inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame last year, joining a list of honorees that includes the Avett Brothers, John Coltrane, Charlie Daniels, Andy Griffith, Ronnie Milsap, Thelonious Monk, Earl Scruggs, Nina Simone, James Taylor, Randy Travis, Doc Watson, and more. He has sold more than four million albums and he’s earned one Double Platinum, four Platinum and four Gold singles; as well as one Platinum and two Gold albums. McCreery has been married to his high school sweetheart for five years and has a fifteen-month-old son.

Trevor DeVaul, Recreation Coordinator of Parks, said, “I am really excited about McCreery coming back to the amp. This is his second time visiting Clarksburg where he put on a great performance then, and everyone can expect the same kind energy this summer as well.”
